The Airline Interview Preparation course is designed to prepare the professional pilot for an airline interview where a simulator check ride incorporating theoretical questions is anticipated.

Classroom lectures and workshops will be integrated with a practical component, which will be conducted in the 737-800 Jet simulator device at FlyMe.

The theoretical component lasting approximately three hours covers general airline interview tips and advice followed by a personality assessment to allow you to prepare for questions asked in this part of an airline interview.

We will give you access to a psychometric test that can be competed in your own time with model answers. This gives you an idea of what types of problem solving questions you may be subjected to during the initial selection process.

We will then give you an overview of the main systems, namely the electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics and fuel system of a modern transport aircraft as revision towards some of the technical questions you may be asked.

The practical component lasting approximately three hours will allow the pilot to experience the basics of handling a typical jet transport aircraft.

Most airlines will expect the applicant to perform basic attitude flying, incorporating power changes to maintain straight and level flight, steep turns, intercepting and maintaining a ground based radial in differing weather conditions.

Many pilots fail a check ride because they underestimate the differences in handling between the light aircraft they are used to, in comparison to a modern transport aircraft utilised by most airlines. This course gives you a knowledge and skills base that will underpin the initial training you will receive in an airline.

Upon completion of the course you will be provided with an extensive data bank of questions that have been asked of applicants during an airline interview over many years with model answers given by our team of experienced pilots.
